About myBuddy Rescue

myBuddy Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for horses in challenging situations. Our mission is to offer these magnificent creatures a second chance at a fulfilling life by providing them with love, support, and a brighter future. Named in honor of my dad, myBuddy Rescue is committed to making a difference in the world, one horse at a time.

What We Do

At myBuddy Rescue, we work tirelessly to rescue horses in need and provide them with the care and support they require. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that each horse we rescue receives the love, attention, and medical care they need to thrive. myBuddy Rescue collaborates with Fostering Hope LLC, a 501c3 local to Arizona that gives special needs adults the opportunity to work with our rescues. This unique partnership allows neurodivergent adults to find joy, purpose, and healing, all while contributing to the well-being of horses in need.

Our Mission

myBuddy Rescue was founded with a simple mission: to rescue and care for horses in need. Our organization was named in honor of my dad, who was an avid horse lover and advocate for animal welfare. We are committed to continuing his legacy by providing horses with a second chance at life and creating a brighter future for these magnificent creatures.

Who We Are

Meet Kim Garrett, a dedicated neonatal nurse turned passionate advocate for equine well-being. After the loss of her father in 2022, Kim, along with two of her four sons, Landen and Cohen, founded myBuddy Horse Rescue. Beyond her altruistic endeavors, Kim finds joy in horseback riding, leisurely walks with her dog, and immersing herself in the world of books. Landen is currently a junior at Grand Canyon University studying biology, and Cohen is a junior in high school.
